In these past couple of years as I have experienced gastrointestinal problems the phrase “You are what you eat”has taken on new meaning for me. I have come to the realization that your health starts in your gut. What you decide to put into your gut will ultimately make or break your health.
One of the pivotal moments for me and my health was coming to the understanding that we were created to eat certain things and to not eat other things. It is important for you health to understand that just because you can eat it does not make it food. Food is something that should be nourishing, good for your body and supply you with energy to get you through the day.
Your body will take in whatever it is you are eating and distribute it throughout your body. To very simply put it, every time you eat you are either adding to your health or adding to your sickness. One of the issues today is that sickness and disease has become so commonplace that people now view it as just the way things are and do not even view themselves as being sick. As they say.. “ignorance is bliss” and those who can not see their own sickness will continue to feed their sickness.
